  • Satisfactory Academic Progress

The SAP standards apply for all financial assistance programs including Federal Pell Grant, Federal Work-Study, Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant, Direct Student Loans (Stafford and PLUS), as well as assistance from the state and the institution. A student who does not meet the standards is no longer eligible for financial aid until such standards are met, or until eligibility has been reestablished through a successful appeal; however, financial aid suspension does not preclude a student from enrolling in subsequent semesters.

Appeal Procedures and Reinstatement

Complete appeal instructions can be found in the Financial Aid SAP Policy. To appeal a financial aid suspension, please submit the SAP appeal form.

The Director or Assistant Director of Financial Aid will review all appeals and may refer cases to the SAP Appeals Committee when appropriate. The student will be notified in writing of the outcome of the appeal within three (3) weeks of submission of a complete appeal.
